PURCHASING SERVICES FROM ART-VILLAGE
The following services are currently available from Art-Village:
Standard Package: The Standard Package includes digitising and digital
optimising of up to 10 images from photo, CD-R, or negative/slide; placement
of images within a VGR; creation of biography and contact sections and linking
of these elements into the entire site; hosting and maintenance of the pages;
clients own URL for use in guiding visitors directly to VGR. Cost for this
package is £90.00p payable on submission of the clients details and
visual material.
Portfolio Package: The Portfolio Package includes digitising and digital optimising of up to 26 images from photo, CD-R, or negative/slide; placement of images within a VGR; creation of biography and contact sections and linking of these elements into the entire site; hosting and maintenance of the pages; clients own URL for use in guiding visitors directly to VGR. Cost for this package is £140.00p payable on submission of the clients details and visual material.
Starter Package: The Starter Package includes digitising and digital
optimising of a single image from photo, CD-R, or negative/slide; placement
of images within a VGR; creation of biography and contact sections and linking
of these elements into the entire site; hosting and maintenance of the pages;
clients own URL for use in guiding visitors directly to VGR. Cost for this
package is £50.00p payable on submission of the clients details and
visual material.
Additions Package: The Additions Package allows clients with existing
VGR's to add or exchange 10 images on their VGR. The price for this service
is £40.00. Single images will be added or exchanged for a fee of £5.00
per image.
Modifications: Within reason Art-Village will carry out modifications for free (such as spelling mistakes and minor corrections). If more involved changes are required, these may be carried out at a price of £20.00 per hour, in half-hour increments (minimum £10.00p). Artists should not normally need to make any such modifications within the normal operation of the Virtual Gallery Room.
PURCHASING ADVERTISING
The following advertising rates apply:
Listing Ads: Listings of forthcoming exhibitions and performances will
be published free of charge. We reserve the right to edit or exclude listings
ads if required and will include entries in this section purely at our discretion.
Link Ads: Each link advert (on right hand side of page) is available for £25 per month. To advertise in these spaces, please email us at advertising@art-village.co.uk
PUBLICATION AND UPDATING
We will make every effort to include updates, modifications and corrections
as soon as possible, but cannot make any guarantees on exactly when changes
will appear. Updates will normally occur within four working days of notification.
Art-Village will receive at least one major publication update at least every
other month, when index page content will change. Mailing list subscribers
will receive notification of these publications as and when they occur.
PRIVACY/DATA PROTECTION
Information held by us about users and clients (such as names and addresses/email
addresses etc) will only be used by us and will not be sold or transferred
to any third party without the permission of the addressee. Users and clients
can request a listing of all information retained about them by sending a
request to admin@art-village.co.uk
COPYRIGHT
Copyright will at all times remain in control of the artist. In submitting
your work for inclusion in Art-Village, you give us permission to reproduce,
rescale, and optimise images; and to publish them on the site both on your
VGR and on other pages within the site, and to use images in promotional material
directly relating to Art-Village or shows, exhibitions or otherwise that Art-Village
is involved in. Any further use will not be undertaken by us without obtaining
written permission from the copyright owner. We will not prevent you from
exhibiting your work in any other gallery, or from selling the work. Art-Village
takes no commission from sales, and takes no part in any contractual agreement
between the vendor and the buyer.
We do not give any third party permission to use images of submitted artwork except for promotional purposes directly associated with Art-Village. We cannot guarantee that others may not digitally capture images from the VGR's, although resolution of images is controlled such that any captured data would be unsuitable for commercial printing.
Art-Village cannot accept any liablility for losses due to infringement of copyrights.

DISCLAIMERS
We do not accept any liability for damages or losses arising as a result
of clients or visitors using the services made available by Art-Village, or
by innacuracies in published information. The service is operated in good
faith and every effort is made to ensure that a high level of service is maintained.
Any materials sent to us for inclusion in VGR's will be handled with care while being processed. We will return all material submitted to us by recorded post.
Art-Village reserves the right to alter the details and prices of services or advertising at any time. We also retain the right to suspend service indefinately to clients should they not fulfil any or all the requirements laid out in these terms and conditions.
'We', 'us' and 'our' refers to Art-Village or employees of Art-Village or their agents. 'Clients' refers to persons purchasing services or advertising from Art-Village. 'VGR' or 'VGR's' refer to Virtual Gallery Rooms, the online area in which clients artwork is displayed/held.
